A Finish....

Two expert things I learned piece doing my CQ sampler.

  1. Make certain your block has some sort of defined border that is overnice too straight....not all over the house similar mine was.
  2. Leave at to the lowest degree one-half an inch of clear infinite or hence the edge...no beads, no embroidery...nothing!
Why?...because you lot are actually non going to convey a peachy fourth dimension trying to complete it off nicely.

After cutting the border real neatly.....I'm such a fibber:).....I had nix to pose a binding on hence I sort of cheated. First I cutting some heavy pellon most 1/2 inches larger that what I was left amongst too placed my block on that. I stared at it for awhile.

Then I roughly cutting some backing stuff from a combat I had.  I lay my pellon/block flake on top.

Not bad...I took off the block too folded the cloth over the pellon similar I was wrapping a gift.

I too hence pinned it nicely too carefully basted it hence that no stitches could live on seen on the back. I shut the mitered edges amongst a invisible ladder stitch.

I constitute a modest lace edging that matched the cloth too basted that on the raw border of the block...voila.

Now all I postulate a some gimp edging to pose over the exterior border of the lace too complete it off nicely.

Phew.....I convey learned my lesson too volition live on careful when doing my CQ blocks inwards futurity :)

Take care.
